High temperature limit thermostat for L1(2012-16)/LR/R24/Vectis

You are purchasing the high temperature limit stat, or thermal fuse, with an M4 stud that threads into the end of the brass mounting rod, which in turn threads into the element mounting nut

It does not include the brass mounting rod, which needs to be purchased separately

Given the relatively low cost of the brass mounting rod we strongly encourage you to purchase it too, as the stud on the thermal fuse can shear off in the brass mounting rod if care is not taken when unthreading it. Similarly, the stud on the brass mounting rod the threads into the element mounting nut can shear off if care is not taken

This component protects the heating element from burning out in the event of water not covering the element in the boiler

This component has a white plastic reset button on the end which is clearly visible and is used to reset the fuse if it has tripped

If the fuse is tripping repeatedly and sufficient water is present in the boiler, then this component needs to be replaced, which is possible as the machine ages
