This part has proven to be very reliable, but as time advances there have been two instances i know of when this component has failed so we have added it to the web store
Tell-tale signs are if you observe irrational behaviour on the console, for example the pump is turning on repeatedly, yet the pressure in the pre-infusion circuit is not falling below the set pressure
This kind of illogical behaviour points towards a leak in the pressure transducer itself, which in the cases i have seen manifests itself as a tiny teardrop externally where the plastic head of the transducer is pressed into the stainless mounting base
Changing this part out is generally very easy as the wires enter the top of the pressure transducer via a plug which if you are careful you raise the nylon retaining clip on the side ever so slightly and then you will be able to lift the plug upwards out of the pressure transducer
With that done you simply unscrew the old transducer and screw in the new one and click the original wiring plug into the new transducer, done.
