However it is functioning correctly, albeit not perfectly yet, on OSX devices
So, you've heard of LONDINIUM from a friend, or stumbled across it on the web, but it feels like a leap of faith to buy one of our espresso machines sight unseen, a brand you hadnt heard of before
We fully understand your apprehension and for that reason we have developed what you might like to think of as a pilot product
For a modest outlay you can purchase the LONDINIUM distribution tool and if you do not already have one, our distribution funnel so the coffee doesnt end up all over your bench
If the LONDINIUM distribution tool does not dramatically improve both the quality and consistency of your extractions with your existing espresso machine, just walk away; dont purchase our espresso machine
Try the LONDINIUM distribution tool as a pilot purchase, a taste of just of how consistently good and easy your espresso making can become with a LONDINIUM lever espresso machine
Alternativley, you can arrange a real time demonstration of any of the products on our website via Facetime (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) - we will be pleased to demonstrate every aspect of the machine that you ask to see
Today we are pleased to announce that our new website now detects for a good number of countries which country you are in (more to be added soon)
As a result we are able to automatically present the website to you in the currency of the country that you are logging in from
Secondly, this functionality allows us to correctly present the products with or without sales tax (VAT), which we must charge on shipments to any EU country, unless you are VAT registered in that country and you pass our validation tests on your VAT registration number (and it is not being shipped to the UK)
This allows people in EU countries to see our products with tax included in the price and people from outside the EU to see out products with tax excluded, as they will be taxed at the border of thier country for any purchase of significant value (generally not parts, but almost always machine purchases)
Finally if you place a machine in the shopping cart you will see that today we have added functionality that adds in all the free products that are supplied with every new machine so you are very clear on what you will receive (we still need to add this for the LONDINIUM I/II/III, but it is in place for the LONDINIUM R today
there are many cosmetic issues that i expect will take more than a month to iron out, but we are addressing the issues in order of priority, and in particular the functionality that we have wanted to introduce for some time but have been prevented from doing so until we migrated from our old webstore platform to this new one
Expect to see further enhancements to the website roll out over time. I am acutely aware that we need to significantly improve the images we use for our spare parts, for example, but this will take some time to execute, but little by little we are moving the pieces into place
have a good weekend

one of the reasons we have undertaken some significant website development over the last few months is to improve the experience for you
for example, it has always annoyed users outside the EU that tax appears on the initial screens of our website
to date we simply havent been able to offer the level of sophitication needed
but now we are. with about a week our website will have the ability to detect which country you are located in when you visit our website and to add or withhold the tax line on that basis
obviosuly this is only a presentational issue, and we have always used the shipping address as the deteminant as to whether we charge tax, and also the nature of the goods, and whether the customer is registered for VAT in Europe, but it is an important step in improving the experience for you when you visit our website and it also reduces the number of emails i have to reply to where concerned prospective customers outside the EU are asking whether they will be charged VAT on their order (they wont, but until now the opening screens of our website have conveyed the impression that you might be)
this and many many more refinements to be added
we know that there are buttons that dont work and lists that can be obscured on some screeen sizes and some colour combinations that make it difficult to read the text in areas, but we are working hard to iron them all out in order of priority
best

today is the day we cut over to our new website
i have woken to news that the following four machine orders are ready to go, but becuase of time zones and systems i cant book them out on DHL for three more hours
the orders in question are for the following people;
HILBERS, NETHERLANDS
CHI-YUNG, TAIWAN
MORTENSEN, DENMARK
ABBOUD, USA
today is going to be a tricky busy day with plenty of surprises i expect, so i expect it is prudent that i book the above 4 orders out on DHL before we commence the cut over to the new website
very much looking forward to sharing the new website with you as it contains numerous enhancements
there will be teething issues and refinements to deploy, but today is launch day, finally!
join us for the journey!
