A busy week with lots of website fixes and developments

one of the reasons we have undertaken some significant website development over the last few months is to improve the experience for you

for example, it has always annoyed users outside the EU that tax appears on the initial screens of our website

to date we simply havent been able to offer the level of sophitication needed

but now we are.  with about a week our website will have the ability to detect which country you are located in when you visit our website and to add or withhold the tax line on that basis

obviosuly this is only a presentational issue, and we have always used the shipping address as the deteminant as to whether we charge tax, and also the nature of the goods, and whether the customer is registered for VAT in Europe, but it is an important step in improving the experience for you when you visit our website and it also reduces the number of emails i have to reply to where concerned prospective customers outside the EU are asking whether they will be charged VAT on their order (they wont, but until now the opening screens of our website have conveyed the impression that you might be)

this and many many more refinements to be added

we know that there are buttons that dont work and lists that can be obscured on some screeen sizes and some colour combinations that make it difficult to read the text in areas, but we are working hard to iron them all out in order of priority

best
