We initially branded this roast ‘Londinium Universal’ as it is a single origin coffee that is uniquely suitable for filter, vacuum, espresso, latte, & cappuccino.

This resulted in the roast being perceived as a blend or inferior in some way, which it is not.

We also hold forth about coffee drinkers being entitled to know what they are paying for and we felt the opacity of the ‘Londinium Universal’ branding was hypocritical in this regard. In a similar vein, it is our long term objective to elevate the appreciation of fine coffee to the same status that fine wine enjoys. In this way certain coffees will acquire a cachet and market forces will ensure the farmer is rewarded for pursuing excellence.

So voila, welcome to Londinium’s take on Costa Rican Tarrazu.

This is the answer if you need one roast that does everything. It is surprisingly difficult to find a single origin coffee that has this capability.
